Shift Lead

Our clients are a direct to consumer, apparel and footwear brand/retailer based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop our products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east and then ship directly to our customers, and ecommerce store as our only sales channel.

We have ambitious objectives over the next decade with the team believing all targets are achievable through new product category launches in shoes and womenswear alongside the creation of paid media, CRM activity and further international growth to amplify the great product / brand assets we have already created.

The Shift Lead is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the shift operation in a cost effective and productive manner, in line with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicator targets. This key leadership role effectively manages all team members on the shift to ensure all internal and external customer expectations are achieved

Job Description

  • Ensure all operational KPI's and company requirements are met, tracked and challenged
  • Be instrumental in the day-to-day running and cleanliness of the warehouse
  • Lead and engage a team to drive excellent customer service
  • Effectively manage engagement, performance, conduct, absence, training and development of the team members
  • Challenge existing processes, providing input on continual improvements which increase capacity and improve efficiency
  • Maintain all warehouse operational standards and processes and ensures all team members follow procedures to improve efficiency for example managing order volumes, daily workload, and continuous process improvement of the operation
  • Daily and weekly key responsibilities
  • Assign team members with the tasks to be completed each shift to process orders in line with the agreed SLA s of Arne
  • Set performance targets for team members and work with them to ensure all targets are met
  • Ensure replenishment stock is processed in a timely manner
  • Resolve problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Provide a daily detailed shift summary and handover record
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required

  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Knowledge and experience in warehousing Health and Safety
  • Demonstrable previous experience in warehouse management at a manager or supervisory level is essential
  • Experience in warehouse management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Stock Control Experience
