what does a senior sous chef at wagamama do?
depending on the shift you work, you may start as early as 7am or finish as late as midnight. you will work an average of 9.6 hours per shift
create a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed + cared for
share your passion + knowledge of wagamama food, ingredients + cooking techniques with your whole team
work alongside your head chef to train the whole team to ensure quality + consistency in every dish served
manage the line effectively to ensure all food is delivered on time, meeting demands of service
deal with guest feedback + implement appropriate action plans, spotting opportunities to improve the teams performance
you support your head chef to effectively control gross profit + labour budgets
you understand the business, it's goals + objectives
ensure your kitchen is always clean + safe for your team + guests
you make sure you follow food safety and health + safety standards throughout your shift
you work with your head chef to manage the maintenance + upkeep of your kitchen
about you what we re looking for
you've got demonstrable experience leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen
you're a real people person, with a passion for food + achieving results with your team
you're experienced working with online delivery companies + running a take out operation
you've got a good understanding of how to control gross profit + manage a labour budget
your previous kitchens are always clean, safe + you have a strong understanding of food safety + health and safety procedures
you have a good understanding of budgets + p&l + financial targets
you're passionate about people, you care about your guests + your team, creating a positive place to be
you always recognise succession is vital + have previously helped to build strong talent pipelines by developing your teams
you're a brilliant communicator, own what you do + embraces change
