Competent and experience of general lifting operations using various lifting equipment within maritime and facilities environment, conducting fleeting operations using various capacity chain blocks to move items.
Understanding the de-rating of lifting accessories depending on geometry and mode of use.
Understanding roles of a Slinger, Appointed Person and Lift Supervisor.
Knowledge of crane hand signals and be able to use radios.
Understanding of using various types of cranes.
Assess the weights of loads, centre of gravity.
Hold a slinging and fleeting certificate along with an NVQ 2 or 3
