Strategy Education are working in partnership with a specialist alternative provision based in Southend on Sea. We are looking to appoint two behaviour specialist. This opportunity is to work with KS2 or KS3 pupils who have challenging behaviour and have barriers to learning.
This is a class-based position working closely with students with SEMH, ADHD and Autism and you will be working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis. These positions are long term and have the potential of becoming permanent.
Passionate and empathetic individual
Previous experience of working with children/young people with challenging behaviour
Previous experience working with challenging behaviour in one of the following - Youth offending, Youth Work or Sports Coaching
Excellent knowledge of behaviour management strategies
Excellent communication skills
De-escalation training an advantage but not essential
