The Role:

We are looking for a SAP Business Analyst to support the team meet its objectives in providing the business with 1st class support and continuity in providing financial business information. The successful applicant shall provide business analysis capability to the SAP support teams on behalf of EMEA Finance organization.

This will cover formalised projects, software enhancements, investigative work and ad-hoc queries. The role is also critical in supporting EMEA financial reporting function, providing both standard and custom reports using SAP ECC, together with documenting and providing oversight of EMEA Finance change requests.

The role would suit someone who has a finance background, has an understanding of business processes & reporting within a service industry and now seeking to gain a broader business analyst experience, alongside their SAP ECC Experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line support to Finance teams undertaking internal and external audits across EMEA
  • Support the finance teams in the production and delivery of scheduled and ad-hoc reporting via SAP ECC on a timely basis
  • Provide business analysis support to the finance teams throughout software cycle, covering requirements gathering, functional solution design, solution acceptance testing, user training, data migration and business change
  • Take the lead and be the link between finance, SAP centre and our IT partners on all system related business change, business enhancements, and system related issues
  • Attend global calls with the SAP centre and our IT partners to stay abreast and feed into changes that impact EMEA
  • Log, track and update on all system related change actives, updating stakeholders to progress and know when to escalate business risks
  • Work with the SAP Centre and our IT partners to ensure that any proposed changes to the systems meet best practice and use standard SAP functionality wherever possible
  • Use experience of SAP to Interrogate SAP transactions and provide commentary on the impact of various postings
  • Work with other areas of Finance and IT to ensure that finance related systems that interact with GPMS are maintained
  • Take the lead engagement with key business services process owners to capture requirements, document solutions, provide updates and update on deliverables
  • Produce data flow documents to assist with capture, control and accountability of data
  • Arrange and lead workshops/meetings to capture requirements for improvements to be delivered
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand information needs based on the user stories
  • Provide support to the team when required by providing business information.
  • Escalation of functional relevant issues on a day to day basis

Skills and Experience:

  • Solid SAP ECC experience in Finance (FM) and Billing (SD)
  • Finance background with an understanding of business processes (S2C, P2P & FM)
  • Effective business analysis skills including strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Capable of capturing and producing high quality documentation
  • Experience of systems development lifecycle and process improvement
  • Ability to lead on project based tasks
  • Problem solving and analytical mind-set
  • Solid numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of legal firm or other professional service firm systems preferred
  • Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative and learn
  • Ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and work under pressure with multiple tasks
  • Willingness to work as a member of the team
  • Efficient working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to communicate both written and orally
