Emergency Room - Ascension Providence Park, Novi
The Emergency Center is a Level 2 Trauma Center. Currently 50,000 visits annually. There is a team centered approach to patient care. We are a Comprehensive Stroke center verified by the Joint Commission as well as a STEMI center. We assess, manage, and refer patients to our in-house neuroendovascular interventionalists and accept stroke transfers from other Ascension Emergency Centers. We take pride in supporting and providing safe nursing to patient staff ratios. We are a full spectrum community centered emergency service line. The department consists of 49 private rooms that are fully equipped with cardiac monitoring system and everything needed to perform emergency procedures.
What You Will Do:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities planning for an assigned service or population.
- Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Identify and/or develop teaching tools and instructional materials.
- Keep records of educational activities and prepares reports.
What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Educator specializing in Childbirth preferred.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
