We are looking to recruit to a Quality Manager, who will ensure that Kingspan s customer base receive market leading quality of products, that meet expectations and demands, whilst ensuring there is a continued focus on the reduction of the cost of poor quality.

Responsibilities of our Quality Manager;

Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will oversee product inspection to demonstrate conformity throughout the production process. Product test requirements and specifications are established and made available throughout manufacturing. The Quality Manager will ensure the continual development of the Quality Team, and related activities, promoting best practice and on-going compliance. In addition, you will;

  • Have a complete understanding of product quality critical characteristics and standards including those required by 3rd party Certification Bodies.
  • Ensure internal product specifications are current and quality attributes are clearly defined, documented, and available to the lines and QC lab for carrying out checks.
  • Identify the necessary testing / inspection requirements for incoming raw materials and ensure these are documented and completed.
  • Ensure measuring, testing and calibration systems are maintained and available at all times.
  • Offer and support suggestions to changes in production methods/equipment used for improvements to the quality of the product and/or service to customer.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures for the quality and chemical offload departments.
  • Management of production quality testing and chemical offloading / receipt.
  • Ensure quality records relating to product attributes/physical test and incoming materials are maintained with full traceability for each production order.
  • Record and communicate quality metrics to both Management and Production Teams.
  • Liaise with product certification bodies in relation to surveillance audit visits, collection of audit samples, and resolution of non-conformances/observations.

Skills and Experience required of our Quality Manager

  • Degree or equivalent qualification, in Science, Engineering or Quality. An additional qualification in Lean Manufacturing or equivalent would be highly beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineering/Management role.
  • Strong leader who is experienced in people management
  • Demonstratable experience in using Quality tools to drive efficiency and/or product improvements
  • Natural team player, who can effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to motivate workforce and well developed people management skills
  • Self-motivated, with a flexible approach
  • Highly organised, with the capacity to prioritise multiple tasks
