The Role - Project Administrator / PA
As the Project Administrator / PA, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of civil engineering in a new and varied role encompassing both general PA and project support duties. You ll support the Technical Team, who are responsible for delivering major highways infrastructure projects across the East Riding of Yorkshire area, including the A164 Jocks Lodge Improvements. Duties will include:
Organising project meetings and workshops
Drafting responses to communications from the public or other project stakeholders
Producing regular project newsletters
Monitoring financial budgets on both capital and revenue projects
Updating databases to administer contractual payments
Booking road space for site works activities, along with monitoring and directing team communications
Filing project documents

A pay rate of up to £14 per hour (equivalent to a salary of £26,936), with the level dependent on experience
Permanent contract, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, some flexibility is available around start and finish times to work around your personal commitments (although you will need to be able to work unsociable hours occasionally)
Option to partly work from home 1 or 2 days per week, combined with working from our offices in Beverley (East Riding of Yorkshire) and occasionally at sites across the local region

Our Requirements - Project Administrator / PA
Proven experience gained within a similar administrative or project support role
A passion for developing a career within the civil engineering sector
Accurate and timely data entry and typing skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive approach, and the ability to manage your own workload ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and on time
IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
A full UK driving licence, with access to your own transport
Although not essential (as training will be provided), experience gained in a civil engineering environment and / or awareness of local authority systems and procedures would be highly advantageous.
