To strengthen our and help our clients deliver their key projects, we are looking for a Program Manager in the Hi-Tech - Semiconductor market segments.
Overview
As Program Manager, you will report to the delivery head for Hi-Tech and in collaboration with the Business Unit, you will manage key projects and worldwide engineering teams for key clients in the Hi-Tech portfolio.
You will have overall leadership for a large, complex and challenging project or set of projects with worldwide operations. This role will be a combined Program Management and technical leadership role requiring a strong software background and project management skills. Programs have approximately 100 team members globally distributed. Leadership requirements include directing Technical Leaders (TLs) and the rest of the team to execute projects which include 3-tiers of Engineering with a large amount of scope in the program areas of transition and design, sustaining support and enhancement Engineering.
Key responsibilities:
Organize his/her team units to meet Group strategy
Ensure the profitability of his/her projects portfolio
Drive productivity gains together with the Capacity Manager to anticipate and optimize the
staffing
Develop project training plan
Business continuity (high priority)
Key technical areas:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Modeling and Simulation experience and understanding of modeling systems a plus
Manufacturing Capital Equipment, Production Test Systems, Semiconductor Technical &
Operational Principles
Industries: Hi-tech, Semiconductors
Experience in consulting environment to include managing staff augmentation projects and
working in complex worldwide teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or
similar).
9-13 years' experience in delivery of complex electromechanical products including 3-5 years
in leadership roles with end-to-end ownership of key deliverables.
Demonstrated progression of responsibility from individual contributor to team leadership.
Experience decomposing complex tasks into smaller functional blocks and applying the
appropriate staff or teams to deliver against these.
Demonstrated capability managing risk on complex programs - identifying and prioritizing
risks, accelerating the discovery of issues or constraints, and executing meaningful remediation
plans which improve project outcomes.
Experience driving scope trade-offs and technical decisions and obtaining formal management
or customer approval for change orders, to meet schedule milestone.
Experience following rigorous formal product development processes to ensure product
quality and maintainability.
Understanding of financial analysis for engineering projects.
Experience managing project plans in Microsoft project.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills including excellent client facing skills - the ability
to work effectively with customers and executives to align technical solutions to business
needs.
PMP or CSM highly desired.
Experience in software engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
