Heading towards our net-zero future
Our client is a world leading multidisciplinary consultant with an enviable track record of delivering a wide range of cutting-edge energy transition projects as well as interesting portfolio of the more traditional carbon-zero infrastructure schemes. The team can proudly say that their projects make a real-world difference, delivering innovative sustainable solutions across renewables, recycling, water, waste, education, defence, industrial and commercial
This is a breakthrough opportunity to join the Major Projects team at a time of fantastic opportunity. Significant individual projects, backed up by large framework agreements make for an interesting mix of technical challenges working as the clients technical advisor through the early stages of the procurement process, right though to construction.
The role is hybrid, meaning that you will pop in to the office twice a week for meetings, but essentially work from home, cranking out the work.
You will be a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a nicely maturing career. Ideally you will have worked on the consulting side of the process pre-contract, but if you have a strong construction background and want to try this side of the relationship, then this is a great role to be involved with a mix of civil, but mostly construction work.
RICS is great, but if you want to work towards RICS and are being blocked where you are, this role could propel your career forward nicely.
It would ne great if you have the following experience, but if you are a solid QS, you should apply.
- Have experience of cost estimation methods and standard methods of measurement, including CESMM and NRM.
- Have experience in the management of major procurement of construction contracts.
- Have knowledge of a wide range of forms of contract including NEC, JCT and FIDIC.
- Have experience of the administration of contacts for major capital projects.
- Be able to identify, address and resolve differences between individuals
