My client was founded in 2005 and has grown from strength to strength to become a well-known name in the M&E industry. Their main clients are key players within the Design & Build Commercial Office Fit Out sector. This can range from £100K to £2M which is a mixture of Shell & Core, CAT A and CAT B. They are now looking to add another Mechanical Project Manager to their operational team due to an increase in work.
The Ideal Candidate:
A good understanding of mechanical services coming from a mechanical trades background or professional qualification in engineering
Good communication and people management skills both upstream and downstream, including delivering progress and finance reports
Good leadership and decision-making skills with experience of managing specialist M&E install teams.
Consistent and conscientious ensuring high standards are met in terms of meeting progress targets according to the programme of works, quality compliance according to the drawings and specifications, and health and safety regulations
Ability to build and develop long-term relationships with external professionals, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
HNC/HND would be desirable but not a necessity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor, and consultants)
Procurement of subcontractors, kit, and plant
RFIs - Liaison with client team, main contractor, and sub-contractors
Value Engineering where applicable
Programming of works - using MS Project or Asta project
Health & Safety management (RAMs)
Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub-contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
Management of variations
Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
Progress meetings with sub-contractors, client and internal meetings

£55,000 - £65,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
