Salary: £10.39ph plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 7am - 4pm - 30min unpaid Break
Overtime: Available after 42.5 hours worked and weekend x1/5
Location: St Albans (municipal), AL4 9XR.
At Veolia our Waste Operatives are responsible for collecting and loading waste from domestic properties. By joining Veolia as a Loader you are playing your part in helping us to combat climate change.
What will you be doing?
Collecting waste as directed from domestic properties including but not limited to via
wheeled bins and sacks
Accurately record work completed and report any collection issues that arise during the round via the mobile tablet devices
Return all containers to their correct location after collection as directed
Assisting other Collection crews to complete work when requested to do so
Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
Undertaking ad-hoc duties as required to maintain a safe, clean working environment and service to our customers
What are we looking for?
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and with the
general public
A willingness and ability to work overtime on occasions to ensure we meet our service
obligations
A "safety-first" mindset
Ability to be able to carry out some heavy lifting and continuous manual handling
