Legal Associate, Perm, London Based, £50kpa plus 10% Bonus.
We are currently working with a well established Reinsurance company who are on the lookout for an experience Legal Consultant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.
This company works with multinational companies to help them deliver employee benefits to their staff around the world. Their London headquarters houses support services from global marketing to finance to client reporting and underwriting while working with colleagues based in 12 offices in locations across Europe, the US and Asia.
About the Legal Team
The Legal Team is comprised of five people, reporting into the Director of Legal. The Legal Team are trusted advisors to the business, counselling business units on day-to-day matters and advising management on key strategic initiatives.
Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a Legal Associate to join the Legal Team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Legal Associate Core and Corporate Business, this role will be based in the London (Monument) office. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic in-house Legal Team.
Responsibilities will include:
Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including: Member Agreements,
Reinsurance Agreements, Retrocession Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Letters of Intent, and Global Accounting Agreements (such as pooling contracts).
Providing legal regulatory advice to key stakeholders within the business involving: data protection, Companies House, and other corporate governance matters.
Counselling business units on day-to-day legal issues and areas of risk.
Providing general legal support.
Solicitor admitted to practice in England and Wales (NQ 2 years PQE).
Excellent legal drafting skills.
Highly motivated, team player.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature, applying legal knowledge where
considerable judgement and initiative are required in resolving problems, making recommendations,
and preparing deliverables.
