IT Infrastructure & Systems Support AnalystPermanent positionGlobal manufacturer of precision components10% matched pension, 25 days holiday & life assuranceWe are currently looking for an IT Infrastructure / Systems Support Administrator to join our small but experienced team.Working in the division s main manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the companies IT infrastructure and ERP / Payroll systems across multiple UK sites. This role will suit someone who has skills & experience in both infrastructure & systems roles to some level. A key component of the division s IT strategy is the replacement of our legacy ERP solution; the intention is to roll-out a Tier 1 system from our US facility within the next 18-24 months & you will be a key member of this project with responsibility for data cleansing, data migration, and redevelopment of required interfaces.
Key duties for the role in question include: - Provide desktop support to Office and shop floor PC users within Windows environment
- Maintain and develop VMWare environments for corporate and production networks
- Maintain and troubleshoot WAN links between UK and-Europe/US-based sites
- Maintain internet and email access for office staff using PCs, laptops and hand-held devices
- Support users on existing ERP & Payroll systems, providing basic administration duties
- Build knowledge of existing ERP & Payroll systems, including significant customisations developed to support the UK business operation, through training & knowledge transfer from existing IT resources
- Resolve ERP/Payroll-related issues & develop enhancements in a timely manner & according to business priorities
- Log support calls & solutions in a Helpdesk system to promote cross functional support & knowledge transfer within the IT department.
- Ensure compliance with various audit requirements including SOX, and implement improvements based on audit recommendations
- Support & enhance in-house developed MS Access database solutions used throughout the facility
- Support data cleansing & data migration activities through the development of extract programs from our Legacy ERP application
Experience - Experience of working in an IT role within a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Comfortable with installing and supporting MS-Windows 10, Hardware repair and Fault Diagnoses
- Comfortable installing & maintaining Windows Server OS in virtual environment
- Experience with Networking Configurations, VLANS, Jump Servers, SFTP, Fiber, Cat5 /6, patching
- Programming experience with Basic / VB / VBA / VB.NET required
- Database administration experience required (SQL or similar)
- ERP Support / enhancement / implementation experience is an advantage
- An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to their work.
Please note this role will be site based.
