The Supervisor of Core Laboratory Services will be part of a nonprofit organization serving communities for more than 50 years. The hospital's state-licensed and nationally accredited clinical laboratories provide comprehensive testing services. They are committed to accuracy and efficiency in providing test results for our physicians and patients.
Accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the fully automated clinical laboratory provides testing around the clock for inpatients, emergency department patients, and outpatients. Blood samples are collected by our state certified phlebotomists - health workers with expertise in drawing blood. Testing is performed by the California licensed Clinical Lab Scientist staff and monitored by board certified pathologists.
The Supervisor of Laboratory and Pathology Services will direct daily operations of the Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Services with 24-hour responsibility. The Lab and Microbiology Supervisor will provide leadership and works closely with Lab/Pathology management, staff, and pathologists, to guide technical and operational direction, planning and coordination of services.
The Supervisor of Laboratory and Pathology Services will be responsible for project planning and development; equipment and facilitates planning, staff development and training; budget preparation; regulatory compliance; contract negotiations for equipment, maintenance and supplies; productivity and performance improvement.
The Hospital Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations and technical and scientific oversight of the Core Laboratory. This includes the Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Bank laboratory sections. This position supervises all laboratory personnel, including Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, and Technical Support Specialist III.
