What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a part time (contract, hourly) electrical engineer to assist in the prototyping of some new camera technologies. Must be familiar with Sony IMX series sensors and the MIPI interface, the successful candidate should be able to take off the shelf camera boards and interface them with driver circuitry and software development kits (SDKs). We will be looking for assistance in prototyping these sensors to run on a lab bench set up, demonstrating proof of concept, and thus allowing the optical and optomechanical systems to demonstrate their performance. Must also have experience and capabilities in prototyping high brightness LED drive circuits in both torch and flash modes, and develop flash circuits that will drive multiple HBLEDs. Candidate should be able to specify computer requirements for all camera and LED driver needs, and fully implement the software development kits. This position will be a mix of remote work from a place of candidates choosing, and working within our laboratory environment located at Petaluma, CA. We estimate that at least 20-30 hours of work are needed initially, with more follow on work later. The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in camera and LED technologies, be a self starter, and coordinate well with a diverse team located all over the US, and be located within short driving distance of Petaluma CA.
