My client is currently looking to appoint an experienced In-House Commercial Property Paralegal to join their company in Iver, Buckinghamshire.
Due to expansion of the business, their in-house Legal team requires a driven, hard-working, and determined individual to provide administrative and legal support. The role involves a wide range of duties to support the commercial property and development teams.
• Assisting the Legal Property & Development Team with a wide range of property related matters on solar energy and EV projects • Assisting with advice on content of Heads of Terms and assisting with drafting option agreements, agreements for lease and both leasehold and freehold acquisition• Obtaining and advising on a wide range of property searches. (Experience of Infotrack would be an advantage)• Dealing with registrations at HM Land Registry including first registrations, restrictions, answering requisitions, etc.• Completing SDLT forms• Preparing and advising on due diligence from title documents, searches and replies to enquiries and assisting with the preparation of Reports on Title• Liaising with external solicitors as necessary• Updating and preparing internal property management reports• Liaising with finance in raising purchase orders and paying invoices• Assisting the Legal Property Team with ad hoc tasks and administrative matters as required including collection, scanning, filing, and archiving of documents at the Iver office and distribution of documents to the required parties.• Conduct legal research if requested• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001)
Skills & Experience Required:
• You will have a minimum of 2 years previous experience working in a Paralegal/Legal Assistant position, preferably within a busy in-house legal team, complimented by private practice work (but in-house experience is not an absolute pre-requisite for the role)• Law graduate or equivalent qualification is essential• Experience within renewables or energy sector is highly desirable but not mandatory• Team player, innovative with sound judgement and solutions driven• Able to approach work with positive energy and integrity
